Essex Met is proud to be providing funding support for two of our County’s promising young athletes. Jasmin Odeogberin (aged 17) is a regular player for Essex Open and Funmi Fadoju (aged 15) plays for New Campbell, both also play for London Pulse.
Commenting on her netball journey Jasmin (left) said: “I have played for Essex Open since I was 11 years old and have been on the England Pathway since 2015. I have been part of London Pulse U19 NPL squad for the last two seasons and am due to go on tour to Australia with England’s U17 squad in September. My aim is to continue to develop and hopefully play professionally at some point in the future. Many thanks to Essex Met for their support.”
Speaking of her netball aspirations, Funmi (right) said: “I am a hard oiled machine striving for excellence. It has never been easy at times you put in all your effort and it seems like there are no results. But perseverance is key! When I started netball in year 3 I never in my life thought I’d be here 8 years later proudly representing my countries on worldwide tours. Always remember your talent will always make a way for you!”
