Essex Met Junior League 2022 – 2023
Firstly, I would like to thank all the clubs, coaches, players, families and all other spectators for their support this season.
The junior league had the highest number of entries we have ever seen. Having the indoor courts for the U16’s allowed the league to go ahead without having to turn any teams away.
The season started well and then the cold weather arrived which meant we had to cancel many games due to icy courts. Thankfully, with the support of everyone involved we managed to catch up on all outstanding matches and finish the season within our predicted timescale.
Introducing the regrouping of the U13’s after round one, as we did the U14’s last season went well. This format gave teams more competitive games in round two. Hopefully we will be able to use the same format for the U12’s next season.
